Simon Fowler and Oscar Harrison from Ocean Colour Scene come to the glorious RNCM venue in Manchester this month with a rare, stripped back acoustic show of classic songs from their varied back catalogue.
English rock band, Ocean Colour Scene, were formed in Solihull in 1989. They have had five top 10 albums, including a number one in 1997 with Marchin Already, and they have also achieved seventeen top 40 and six top 10 singles to date. Now lauded as Britpop legends, Ocena Colour Scene formed close bonds with the likes of Oasis and Paul Weller back in the day, feeding a ravenous new wave of guitar loving fans with electric riffs and great singalong anthems.
Now well in their 50’s, Simon and Oscar bring a celebratory but low-key show that demonstrates the subtleties of these wonderful songs – a great opportunity to see such important musicians close-up and personal for a great night of 90’s and beyond nostalgia.
