Pink Floyd were founded in 1965 by Syd Barrett (guitar, lead vocals), Nick Mason (drums), Roger Waters (bass guitar, vocals) and Richard Wright (keyboards, vocals). After Syd’s demise, Dave Gilmour replaced him and provided some of the greatest recorded rock guitar solos of all time on the likes of Comfortably Numb, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Wish You Were Here. One of the first British psychedelic groups, Floyd were distinguished by their extended compositions, sonic experimentation, philosophical lyrics and elaborate live shows. They have made some of the most iconic rock concept albums of all time, including Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall. This playlist is a career spanning look at one of the great bands of all time, including some lesser obvious cuts.
