What an exceptionally talented cast, who delivered a wonderful piece of theatre to a sold-out audience at Liverpool’s iconic Playhouse Theatre for press and guest night.
The entire cast were superb; however, Katy Owen’s portrayal of The Professor was truly magnificent. Outstanding! Her physical movement and stage presence when emphasising key lines, alongside her expressions and vocal intonation, ensured that the narrative flowed smoothly and was engaging throughout.

The play was quirky, hilarious and utterly entertaining from start to finish. Etta Murfit’s dramatic choreography significantly elevated the entertainment and enjoyment of the play, particularly during scene transitions.
Rob Howell’s set design and costumes must receive huge praise, as they became a character in the play. When combined with a fabulous ’50s soundtrack, the overall effect was a slick, outstanding production. This play had it all: glamour, romance, jeopardy and a liberal sprinkling of tender truths.
