Artist Collective
The Broken Spine Artist Collective is the press’s all-inclusive poetry, photography and art journal, born in Southport and co-founded by former school friends Paul Robert Mullen and Alan Parry. It sets out to discover and promote voices from all backgrounds, local, national and international.
The First and Second Editions appeared in 2020, each with more than 40 contributors. From the Third Edition (spring 2021) each issue had a Guest Reader: Kate Evans for the Third, Persis Karim for the Fourth (February 2022) and Birmingham Poet Laureate Casey Bailey for the Fifth. Editions are available in print and as digital PDF downloads, alongside related titles such as BOLD, our anthology of masculinity-themed poetry and prose, and the Casey Bailey Bundle.
