This is the ultimate in cultural experiences, bringing together the fantastic artistic creations of both Monet and Van Gogh in one place.
Liverpool was chosen to host the opening of the European exhibition following the phenomenal success of 2024’s Van Gogh immersive exhibition, which attracted over 60,000 visitors.You’d be forgiven for thinking this new exhibition is simply the same event with a different artist’s work – but no! The new 2025 exhibition further captivates audiences with the introduction of a fully immersive exit room, where you can meander among the flowers from one of Monet’s many paintings; ponder life while seated on a bench featured in many of his works; and even walk over the elaborately constructed bridge which features so heavily in his art. This addition adds splendour to the projected images exhibition as it truly brings to life Monet’s amazing landscape masterpieces.
The press night launched with a sophisticated VIP night with guests of: press, celebrities of stage and screen and local dignitaries gathered to enjoy a drinks and canape selection, speeches and various speeches, including Lord Mayor Cllr Barbara Murray before enjoying the first glimpse of Beyond Monet.
Initially, you would be forgiven for thinking that witnessing moving projected images would not enough to capture and engage all age audiences given that images can be viewed and enjoyed simply by a ‘click of the finger’ from a search engine however, Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group have produced a spectacular and unforgettable audio-visual journey through both artist’s captivating and colourful world.
For anyone wishing to revisit the Beyond Van Gogh exhibition from last year and witness the new Beyond Monet exhibition they are being staged on separate days throughout the four-and-a-half-week residency at the waterfront landmark. Please check before you go as to which days are exhibiting which artist’s work to avoid disappointment.
