Eels, an American rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1991 by singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Oliver Everett, known by the stage name E, come for a rare visit to Manchester in April 2023.
Since 1996, Eels has released fourteen studio albums, seven of which charted in the Billboard 200 in America. You may know them for their debut album Beautiful Freak, which spawned the memorable singles Novocaine for the Soul, Susan’s House and Your Lucky Day in Hell. Their brand of alternative rock is as mesmerising as those early days, and the music is still filled with captivating themes of family, death, and unrequited love!
A three-piece band on stage, Eels will bring their hits, a compilation of B-sides, rarities, soundtrack singles and unreleased tracks to the show, and their latest record Extreme Witchcraft (2021), produced by E and PJ Harvey producer John Parish, will feature too.
Get on board for this rare chance to catch this slippery bunch!
