What a Fantastic Show!

This was a feel-good party from the beat of the first song. All the Motown classics were covered by a range of talented singers and musicians who performed as soloists, duets, or as part of various Motown groups, covering artists such as Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, The Jackson 5, and Smokey Robinson.

This is a professional touring show with Motown music performed live, spanning the decades. What was there not to love about this show that has been touring Europe and the UK during the last year, apart from the fact that it took so long for them to come to Liverpool? But when they did, they had the entire auditorium up on their feet, dancing the night away. The people of Liverpool know how to party… and party we did!

I believe that the barometer of a good show is a performance that delivers value for money while being highly entertaining. By looking at the audience during the show and hearing their chatter on the way out, it was clear they did their job. The place was full of smiles and happiness, with many theatre-goers singing tracks that had been covered earlier in the night.

This show took the all-age audience down ‘memory lane’ while entertaining with glittering costumes, dazzling dance routines, and outstanding musicianship that was en pointe and simply breathtaking. All the artists displayed considerable talent, however, two artists, Titomi and Clarissa, stood out with their exceptional voices.

If you are a lover of all things Motown, then make a date to see this show performed at a theatre near you.
