Stars of the Future Shine Bright at Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre’s Bring It On – The Musical
Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre delivered three highly energised performances of Jeff Whitty’s Bring It On – The Musical at Liverpool’s iconic and recently refurbished Empire Theatre.
From the opening bar to the closing note, the performers and musicians provided a sterling display of their abilities, showcasing their talents and firmly announcing themselves as stars of the future. The dancing, acrobatics, and tumbling were impressive, closely aligning with any professional production.
The graphics were excellent, significantly enhancing the production and ensuring the audience felt fully immersed in the high-flying journey filled with the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal, and forgiveness.
This was clearly an inclusive and enthusiastic cast. Some actors’ voices were sharp, clear, and hit the notes with ease, while others unfortunately lacked the power, control, and ability to breathe, act, and dance simultaneously.
Overall, this was an enjoyable production, with a good storyline and excellent costumes contributing to a satisfying theatrical experience.
